- Click the "Do I Have Java?" link.
- Allow the program to run and check for missing plugins.
- If you are prompted, install the missing plugin.
- Follow the directions to install the plugin/update.
- After installation, close the browser completely, re-open it, and now try the program at login.keyboardingonline.com
If you still have issues, your next best bet would be to try another browser (
Firefox) and then try it again. Please follow these directions before contacting the support staff.
Back to topLogging in is easy, but you need a little information from your instructor first.
- Visit http://login.keyboardingonline.com
- Enter your school login and password and hit enter
- *HINT* Your school login and password are usually the same.
You should now be logged in and ready to go. Please remember, the school login and password are probably not the same username and password you use for things at your school. If you forget your password, contact your teacher.

Back to topAfter signing up for the free 60 day trial of our program, we still need to verify that you are an instructor and the school is a valid school. This can take 1-2 business days to complete. Once the free trial is verified, you will receive a second email with your school's login information and further instructions on where to go to sign in and how to use the program.
If you would like us to rush your free trial, please contact us by phone or email and let us know. We will put it to the top of our list and ensure it gets done as soon as possible.
Back to topPurchasing FAQs
If you want to buy just an access code without a book, visit our retail store at http://store.keyboardingonline.com and select access code from the menu. Find the program you need the access code for and click the "Buy Now" button. After you fill out all the personal information and submit payment and it is approved, you can instantly view your access code and start working. Just review the last order, and you will see the access code in red.
*NOTE* If you are buying a book with an access code, you will not get it instantly. If you are ordering anything with the access code, you will not get it instantly. You only get the code instantly if you are purchasing JUST the code.
Back to topYou definitely can, but the pricing will not be the same. K-12 site license for 25 users is $149/yr with a 2 year minimum purchase. If you would like to order a single year, you can, but the pricing is $199/yr. For a single year, the price is +$50.00 more than the 2 year pricing.
Back to topAfter we get a purchase order, it can take up to 24 hours (1 business day) for us to process the order completely. After it is processed, we will email the instructors the login information for the school and they will be able to login and start creating classes and students.
If more than 24 hours has passed and you haven't heard from us, please call us and we can check the status of your order.
Back to topIf this is your first time visiting the site, welcome! We look forward to doing business with you. We offer a free 60 day trial of our program that you can use with your class to try out our software (
http://www.keyboardingonline.com/freetrial.php). This will help you get familiar with our products and give you an idea which program will fit your curriculum best.
We do accept Purchase Orders for most school as well as Checks, Visa, or Mastercard as form of payment. After placing your order with us, we will send you an invoice to be paid within 30 days of the invoicing date. Failure to pay will result in service being suspended until accounts are brought up to date.
As always, you can contact us with any pricing and ordering questions you may have.
Back to topNo, your data is safe and what we will do is basically extend your 60 day trial period into the full 2 years (or however long the licensing period is). The login information, classes, and student files will all be the same.
Back to topWe do accept book returns in some cases.
Returns...
- will be accepted if the book wasn't opened.
- must be free of any bookstore pricing stickers or markings.
- will be accepted if the access code hasn't been scratched off.
- may be subject to a 5-10% restocking fee.
Any access codes that have been viewed cannot be returned. Any access codes purchased through the online retail store cannot be returned.
Back to topWe try to be clear when you purchase, but sometimes the text does get overlooked. In order to view the access code after you purchase it, simply view your account at
http://store.keyboardingonline.com/ and then click the My Account button at the top. You will see a list of previous orders. Click on the order you placed and you will see your access code in bold, red text in the middle of the page.

Back to topYou can only manually delete scores one by one in the View Student Progress > Simple Progress Report > Right click on the score > Select Delete.
Many teachers have often asked why they can't delete an entire semester's worth of scores. The reasoning behind this is that if we had a button somewhere to do that, there will inevitably be a teacher who accidentally clicks that and loses the scores for their entire semester. We want to help avoid the major headache that would cause for the teacher and us trying to figure out a way to solve the problem.
So the next best thing we can do to delete all the scores is to basically delete and re-add the students. There is a very easy way to do this.
- In the teacher manager, go to Class Manager and select the class whose scores will be deleted.
- Click the "Export Class" button on the right hand side and save the file in a easy-to-find location.
- Now create a new class where you will be re-importing the students.
- Go to "Create Student Files", and click the "Import" button under the "Import Student From List"
- Find that file you just exported, select it, and click "Open"
- Now you will see the first student appear in the Student Name box along with the password for that student.
- Select the new class for that student that you just created, and select a profile for this student.
- Click "Create Student File" and that student has now been created!
- The next student from the list is automatically loaded up, the class should still be selected, and the profile should still be the same.
- Continue clicking "Create Student File" until no more students appear.
Now you should have your new class with all your students filled in with their names and passwords the same as the class before, but with no scores recorded for them.
At this point, you can return to the Class Manager and delete the old class if you haven't done so already.
Back to topChanges in the text
Our text doesn't change very often, and when there are changes, we will post them here with a link to a PDF file so you can download it and continue using the same text book. If you ever have any questions, please call us at the office or send us an email and we will be able to help you.
