I teach several computer applications classes (in college) that cover windows, word, excel, access, and powerpoint. I tell my students the first day how important keyboarding is. The first students to drop out of my computer classes have always been those that can't keep up because of poor keyboarding skills. My students are juggling home, family, work, school and they don't have time to spend 2 hours doing something that should take 15-20 minutes. Those with poor keyboarding skills get behind and end up dropping out. I have seen this every semester.

Every class in college that has a required theme or term paper has to submit it in typed form. Students are losing out every which way that have poor keyboarding skills.

Keyboarding training is a must for success in school.
